Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusts
  • 6 apples, sliced
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten

Method

  1. 1Toss the apples with sugar, flour, spices, and lemon juice.
  2. 2Line a dish with crust and pile in the apples.
  3. 3Cover with the top crust, seal, and cut vents.
  4. 4Brush with egg wash and bake until golden and bubbling.
